Traveling to the Cape:
The Cape Cod Institute in-person sessions are held at Nauset Regional Middle School, 70 MA-28, Orleans, MA 02653. Orleans is about a 1.5-2 hour drive from Boston or Providence (expect traffic delays on Saturdays). There are scheduled flights from Boston and Providence to Hyannis and Provincetown, both a 30-minute drive to Orleans. There is also high speed ferry service from Boston to Provincetown.
Cape Cod is about 70 miles long and 75 miles from Logan Airport in Boston and Green Airport in Providence, Rhode Island. Driving distances to the Lower and Outer Cape are:

Getting Around Cape Cod:
Exploring Cape Cod is a delightful experience, and knowing how to navigate the area will enhance your visit. For full access to the lower and outer Cape, having a car is essential. These regions are home to charming seaside towns, stunning beaches, and picturesque landscapes that are best reached by driving. A vehicle provides the freedom to explore at your own pace and discover hidden gems along the way. While our courses are held in the town of Orleans, you’ll have the chance to participate in several optional weekly events hosted in other towns such as:

Biking and Busing Options:
If you prefer to spend less time in the car, biking can enhance your Cape Cod experience. The Cape Cod Rail Trail offers a scenic route that winds through forests, ponds, and coastal views. Bike rentals are available in many towns, making it easy to get on the trail.
Local buses also connect the towns, providing an affordable transportation option. However, be aware that relying solely on buses may not be the most convenient way to access events or attractions.

During the summer months there are frequently scheduled flights to Hyannis and Provincetown, which are both about a 30-40-minute car ride or bus ride to the Cape Cod Institute in Orleans. Rental cars are available at each location.

BY WATER
Bay State Cruise Company and Boston Harbor Cruises offer high-speed ferry (90 minutes) service from Boston Terminal to Provincetown, seven days a week.
BY BUS / PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Plymouth & Brockton Railway Co. has a bus service between Provincetown (MacMillan Pier), Hyannis (Transportation Center), Orleans (CVS), Boston (South Station) & Logan Airport, Boston.
Peter Pan Bonanza has a bus service between NY, CT, Providence, & Hyannis.
Cape Regional Transit Authority provides local bus service from Hyannis to the towns of Cape Cod.
Amtrak has frequently scheduled transport to Boston and Providence.
Flex Route Bus Line runs from Harwich to Provincetown. Bikes can be stored on the bus. Check the website for the seasonal schedule.
